CROSSVILLE POLICE SAY TAKING DONATED ITEMS IS STEALING

Crossville Police have received reports of individuals who are stealing donated items from the “Threads of Hope” store, in the Woodmere Mall. Some believe that if something is “donated” it entitles them to just take it. This is not the case. Donated items are left and intended to help the mission of the Threads of Hope store in providing services to families and children. T of H relies on these donations to fulfill that mission. Most of these thefts occur after business hours or in the early morning hours. There are a few thefts that occur while the store is open. If you have any information on these thefts, or if you recognize these vehicles or people, please call the Crime Stoppers Tip Hotline at 931-200-1173 or contact Det. Sgt. JC Hancock with the Crossville Police Department.
