DALLAS LAYNE MEADOWS, 81 of Crossville, TN passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on October 22, 2016. He went peacefully at home in the company of his loving wife Mary. He was born July 22, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN the son of Jerry and Mary Taylor Meadows. He was retired as a tool designer in the aircraft industry. He was also a charter member of Abundant Life Church of God of Prophecy. He is survived by his wife- Mary Meadows of Crossville, TN, sons- Randy Meadows and his wife Jana of Clovis, CA and Richard Green of Crossville, TN, daughter- Janice Collins and her husband Paul of Mehlingen, Germany, brother- Donald Meadows of Crossville, TN, sisters- Clara Jo Williams of Marietta, GA, Shirley McReynolds and her husband Larry of Crossville, TN, Shelma Ceylor and her husband David of Crossville, TN and Barbara Wood and her husband Dr. Robert Wood of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Jamie Michaelides and her husband David, Layne Meadows and Drew Hoehner and a host of nieces and nephews that were all his favorite. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter- Carla Meadows and brothers- Doyle Meadows and J.C. Chambers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 7pm from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Committal will be held Thursday at 11am at Baker’s Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Chip Meadows and Pastor Terry Barnwell will officiate with special music by Bill Meadows. Pallbearers will be Layne Meadows, Drew Hoehner, Talmer Huff, Dan Juday, John Schmitt and Josh Pugh. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the charity of your choice.
