EARLY VOTING IS HEADING FOR RECORD TURNOUT

We are in the final few days of early voting in Tennessee for the Nov. 8th election, and indications are that residents are turning out in record numbers. The state number has surpassed 500,000. In Cumberland County, the number of ballots cast, as of Saturday, was 13,358. That number is only 2,000 away from breaking the early voting record set around the same period as the 2012 election. The same is happening in Roane County. As of Saturday, they have had 11,277 votes cast. Officials there did not have the past record number handy, but they did say that the turnout would most likely surpass that. Early voting ends Thursday.
