FENTRESS COUNTY COMMISSION TO MEET REGARDING SHERIFF’S POST
Fentress County officials say the county commission will meet this upcoming Monday, May 1st, in a special called session. The purpose is to officially delare the seat of Fentress County sheriff vacant. Former sheriff Chucky Cravens pled guilty to federal charges earlier this month and resigned from his position. The commission will discuss the required procedures to replace Cravens for the duration of the unexpired term of office until the next general election in August 2018. The meeting will be at the courthouse in Jamestown Monday night starting at 6 p.m.
