FIRE REPORTED SUNDAY MORNING AT HOME ON PEAVINE/FIRETOWER ROAD
Cumberland County Firefighters were called to a structure fire early Sunday morning. Crews were alerted 5:47 AM to a residence at 2403 Peavine/Firetower Road and upon their arrival, could see the flames had already breached the roof. The home was occupied at the time but no injuries were reported. Assistant Fire Chief John Hall told 1057 News that the fire appeared to have started above a wall heater located in a laundry room. There is no damage estimate as yet, but the Red Cross was notified for assistance in helping the family. 4 Units attended the blaze with 12 firefighters who were on the scene approximately 3 hours.
