FIREARM FOUND IN PARKING LOT OF WALMART
Yesterday, Crossville police responded to a residence to pick up a firearm that was found in the parking lot of Walmart. A man told officers that he found the weapon just after 3 p.m. in the lot on the grocery side of the store near the gas pumps. The man took the firearm, drove to his residence and called authorities. A check revealed the weapon was not reported stolen. Police say upon further investigation, the pistol was a percussion cap firearm like a muzzleloader, but with multiple rounds in the cylinder that could be fired separately. The firearm was placed into an evidence locker at the Crossville Police Department.
