FLOOD ADVISORY ISSUED FOR NORTHERN CUMBERLAND AND SOUTHWEST FENTRESS COUNTY
A FLOOD ADVISORY has been issued for southeastern Overton County, northwestern Cumberland County, White County, southern Putnam County and southwestern Fentress County in Tennessee until 845 AM CDT, Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms across the area. Radar estimates one to two inches of rain has fallen this morning. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Cookeville, Sparta, Monterey, Pleasant Hill, Doyle, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Clarkrange, Burgess Falls State Park and Slate Springs.
