The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network – in association with the Jason Foundation, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and other suicide-prevention advocacy organizations – is seeking pre-orders for a first-in-the-nation specialty license plate that would promote the cause of suicide prevention.

A portion of the plate’s $35 cost would fund TSPN’s suicide-prevention efforts. In order for the plate to be put into production, TSPN needs to secure one thousand pre-orders.

TSPN says three people in Tennessee die from suicide every day.

TSPN is the Volunteer State’s public-private organization responsible for implementing the Tennessee Strategy for Suicide Prevention – as defined by the 2001 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. TSPN works to educate communities about the warning signs of suicide, end the stigma of suicide and ultimately reduce suicide rates statewide.
