Monday afternoon, Roane County deputies were called to a residence on Woods Chapel Road. They found a trailer and an RV-style camper both broken into. Deputies discovered a left rear window of the residence had been broken and evidence that someone had entered through it. They found 45-year-old Clarence Roy Halburnt Jr. hiding in an upstairs bathroom. Halburnt had two outstanding warrants in Roane County: felony failure to appear and a capias warrant, both from criminal court. Halburnt also has a hold from Anderson County for theft of property. Halburnt was arrested for breaking and entering and taken to the Roane County jail; other charges may be pending.
