HEAVY STORMS TODAY
Thunderstorms brought incredible rainfall totals to the plateau this afternoon with up to 4 inches in parts of Fentress County and 3 inches in Northern Morgan County and near the Fairfield Glade area of Cumberland County. Quite a few trees were blown down in the sunbright area of Morgan County. More thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday and just about every day this week with heat and humidity and an unstable atmosphere.
Tropical storm Fred is developing in the Atlantic and that maybe something that southern Florida and the Gulf of Mexico has to deal with in the next 5 to 7 days. Don’t forget we have the meteor shower coming up Thursday night if the clouds will leave us alone and that is a big if! We may be talking heat and humidity in our area this week but can you believe we could see Frost in 2 months and snowflakes in 3 months
