HIGH SPEED MOTORCYCLE CHASE LEADS TO ARREST

A Crossville man is facing charges following a high speed chase with authorities yesterday (Sunday, October 22, 2017). According to the arrest report from the Crossville Police Department, a officer was patrolling on Dayton Spur Road because of recent burglaries when the officer noticed a motorcyclist on a 2001 black and white Suzuki pull out of a residence that was abandoned. The report states that the rider, 38-year-old Timothy Dana Crass, allegedly did not yield to a nearby stop sign and a pursuit ensued. The chase ran onto East First Street past the Head Start Daycare at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour at times. The chase continued on Cook Road then went over a curb and into the Crossville City Cemetery. The chase ended on Phillips Drive when Crass stopped and was taken into custody. A check revealed Crass’s drivers license was revoked from a prior DUI conviction. The motorcycle was seized and Crass was transported to the Cumberland County jail charged with DUI, reckless driving and driving on a revoked license.
