HIGHWAY 70 WRECK RESULTS IN ONE FATALITY
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, on Jan. 9, a 2001 Chevrolet Impala driven by William K. Mullins (40) was traveling south on US 70 West from Glade Creek Road. It ran off the left side of the roadway while negotiating a left curve, traveled into the ditch, and continued south until striking a mailbox and a culvert.
The culvert caused it to go airborne and strike a tree approximately 20ft up from the base. It landed upside down over an embankment on top of a barbed wire fence and caught fire.
Unfortunately, Mullins would not survive.
