Authorities in Roane County are still trying to determine what sent a vehicle off the roadway to slam into a tree before catching fire. The Tennessee Highway Patrol returned to the scene of the triple fatality crash on North Kingston Ave. earlier this week. Digital mapping of the scene has proceeded along with a check of the wrecked vehicle’s diagnostic’s computer. Killed in the crash was the driver, 38-year-old Billy Grant, his sister Amanda Curry and 14-year-old Malachi Thomas. Another 14-year-old, Garrett Pitts escaped with only slight injuries.
