JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE FINDS OUT IT’S ILLEGAL TO TAKE SELFIES IN TN VOTING BOOTHS
“Uh, I recently voted.” “That’s super quiet, under the radar” Justin Timberlake joked with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night – addressing a selfie he took while in a Tennessee voting booth. “No one even knew,” Timberlake told Fallon, turning to the camera. “Don’t take a picture of yourself in a,” he laughed as the audience cheered. “I had no idea. I was like, ‘this is gonna be great!” He has since taken down the photo.
According to CNN, a rep for the Shelby County district attorney’s office initally said the photo was “under review,” but Amy Weirich, the district attorney general, said that information was “incorrect and was released without my knowledge.” “No one in our office is currently investigating this matter nor will we be using our limited resources to do so,” the statement added.
The misdemeanor crime is punishable by 30 days in jail and/or a $50 fine in Tennessee.
