FAIRFIELD GLADE COUPLE FIND THEMSELVES VICTIMS OF IDENTITY THEFT

Earlier this month, a Fairfield Glade couple learned they had become victims of identity theft. The wife had stopped receiving mail at home, and a recent credit check turned up Bank of America credit cards in both their names – which neither of them opened. The card in his name has a credit limit of $5,000 with charges of $50; the card in her name has a $7,000 credit limit and charges of $6,970. Apparently, someone filled out a change-of-address form with the U.S. Postal Service in the wife’s name, changing her mail-delivery location to a Country Club Road address in Manchester, New Hampshire. The mailing address has since been corrected, and a fraud investigation has been initiated with Bank of America.
