MAN ATTEMPTS TO SMUGGLE SUBOXONE STRIPS INTO JAIL

A Rockwood man has been charged with attempting to introduce drugs into jail. While in the intake section of the jail, officers asked to pull 45-year-old Jason Paul Crabtree from holding for a strip search after a bag of heroine was found in the rear seat of a patrol car that he had been in. While removing his underwear, officers observed Crabtree slide something from the area of his buttocks and into his briefs. A search of the underwear revealed a package containing Suboxone Sublingual film. The drug was confiscated and has been sent to the TBI in Nashville for further testing. Crabtree is also charged with four counts of simple possession and manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance.
