MAN CHARGED WITH ROCKWOOD BUSINESS BURGLARY

Rockwood police has charged a man in connection with a business burglary. Officers were called to Alice’s and viewed camera footage to be able to identify a suspect. Detective Dwayne Gray made contact with Jared Michael Deck as he was walking down a city street. Officers detained Deck as a suspect and he also had an outstanding warrant. During the questioning, police say Deck admitted and gave a full statement in his role into breaking in to the business, damaging the inside and taking the money and merchandise from the business. Deck was charged with burglary, theft and vandalism. Deck was transported to the Roane County jail and placed under $7,500 bond.
