A Rockwood man was injured following a single vehicle accident in Morgan County Tuesday morning (July 11, 2017). According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2013 Kenworth dump truck driven by 60-year-old John Oliver was traveling north on Lower Whitstone Road when he ran off the left side of the roadway and the truck rolled on its side. Troopers say the roadway was a one lane gravel road. According to the report, Oliver told officers he got too close to the edge with the truck, that was hauling dirt, and the roadway gave away. Oliver was treated for injuries sustained.
