MAN “MAY HAVE IMAGINED” EVENTS IN FALSE POLICE REPORT

A Crossville man has been charged with filing a false report. Officers were dispatched recently to a location on Webb Ave. for the report of an armed robbery/aggravated burglary. According to police, 29-year-old Dustin Blaine France stated that a black male had broken into his apartment and assaulted him with a .38 handgun. France said that the suspect was driving a white truck which officers found at the home. The house was cleared and according to the report, there was no sign of any “crime being committed.” France then allegedly told officers that he had “smoked meth and done a few lines” earlier, and that he might have “imagined some of the events.” France was additionally charged with public intoxication.
