A Walmart loss-prevention employee was assaulted during a shoplifting incident in Crossville Monday. According to reports, two male suspects wearing blue hoodies ran from the store the assault. The suspects, 24-year-old Brandon Miller and 26-year-old Mathew Barlow, both of Crossville, were placed into custody at the Subway Restaurant in Burke’s Plaza. A review of video surveillance showed both men stealing several items. When they were confronted by store personnel, Miller was seen knocking the employee down. Both men were charged with shoplifting while Miller was also charged with assault.
