MORGAN COUNTY JAIL IN NEED OF REPAIRS
Morgan County officials are looking at a few repairs to the jail. The county commission learned this week of problems including four cell doors that will not lock (the inmates in those cells are still confined to the pods the cells are in), water leaks and toilets that will not flush. Morgan County Sheriff Wayne Potter noticed the problems on his first day on the job earlier this month. The jail building is over a decade old and in need of some repair. The county will start repairs on the plumbing while estimates are going out to fix the four non-functional cell door locks.
