MULTIPLE BATTERIES STOLEN FROM WESTEL RV BUSINESS

Multiple batteries were reported stolen from RV’s located at the Westel Boat and RV business earlier this week. The manager of the business told deputies that someone called from Peggie Ann’s Towing Service in Rockwood and reported that a man identified as Keith Price tried to sell several RV batteries that had possibly been stolen. After checking, it was discovered that 22 batteries had been stolen from 21 RV’s, many of which belonged to customers. The RV’s had been parked behind a fenced-in and gated section of the parking lot. The manager stated that Keith Price had been fired from the business in the past. Loss was estimated at $2,530. The investigation is continuing.
