NEW EMERGENCY SHELTER COMING TO NORTHERN FENTRESS COUNTY
Thanks to a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $315,000, a new emergency shelter will be built soon in northern Fentress County. According to County Executive J. Michael Cross, the shelter will be built and added onto the current Pall Mall fire station. The shelter will be multi-purposed and can also be used as a community center. Bids for construction will be advertised within the next 60 days and the Fentress County Commission will meet after that time to award the winning bid. Construction is expected to start in late May with a completion time frame of late August or early September.
