The Fentress County Solid Waste Department and the City of Jamestown joined forces to participate in “The Great American Cleanup”. The program is the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization geared towards taking greater responsibility for improving the environment. Fentress County solid waste and Jamestown city workers picked up 2,525 pounds of garbage and cleared two dump sites during the cleanup initiative.
