An Algood man was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening to kill his own children. 33-year-old Arthur James Cook III faces two counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Authorities report that Cook locked his 14-year-old and 15-year-old children outside of the home after they would not do their chores. They said that the temperature at the time was in the 50’s, and it was windy and rainy. Cook reportedly told officers that he didn’t want the teens back in the house because he would “kill them.” Cook is under a $107,000 bond.
