Earlier this week, Roane County Commissioners passed 10 separate resolutions asking the county attorney to file lawsuits against residents who have allowed their property to become dilapidated. 16 residents are involved in the lawsuits which cite property with an abundance of junk in the yard, overgrown vegetation and building structures without proper permits. Glen Cofer, County Codes Enforcement Officer, told the commission that proper notification was given to all of the individuals before being called to court.
