FATHER OF MEMPHIS FIRE SURVIVOR SAYS “HE’S BRAIN-DEAD”

A boy that survived a Memphis fire that claimed the life of six of his siblings and three adults has been declared brain dead. Earnest Jett Jr.’s son Cameron was in the home when the blaze started. It killed six of his other children, identified as Precious Rose, 3; Kierra, 5; Alonzo Ward, 6; Diamond, 7; Ernest, 9; and Angel, 16. Three women also died in the fire. They’ve been identified as Lakesha Ward, 27; Carol Collier, 56; and Eloise Futrell, 61. Investigators have determined that an electrical malfunction in an air conditioner’s power cord was the cause.
