The Rockwood City Council made some law enforcement decisions at their Monday night monthly meeting. The Council unanimously hired John Mayes to become Rockwood Assistant Chief of Police. He will be helping out Chief Bill Stinnett. The council also hired former Harriman police chief Randy Heidle as a Rockwood patrol officer. Heidle retired from Harriman amid controversy, but he was never charged with any illegal activity in the matter.
