ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP LANDS TWO CROSSVILLE RESIDENTS IN JAIIL

After a routine traffic stop Friday evening, Crossville police arrested two local residents on a variety of charges.

Forty-year-old William Joseph Eaton was stopped while heading south along Main Street for driving with no headlights on. A check of his license status indicated it was suspended for failure to pay child support.

Prior to a search of the vehicle, the passenger, 43-year-old Amy Lea Boston, was asked if she had anything illegal. She admitted having a Suboxone strip for which she did not have a prescription. While searching for it in her purse, the officer turned up several syringes, a rubber band-style tourniquet commonly used for injecting narcotics, and a container with pill residue.

A Tennessee registration tag that was partially painted with black spray paint and which did not belong to Eaton was also located within the vehicle.

Eaton was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Boston was charged with simple possession of a Schedule III narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.
