A front responsible for rounds of severe weather in the midwest part of the nation will push east slowly into the listening area late today (Saturday, May 20, 2017), tonight and part of tomorrow. According to the National Weather Service, the main threat from the storms will be damaging winds, hail, flooding, frequent lightning and an isolated tornado can not be ruled out. The time of impact for the storms in the area is between 3 pm and midnight, Saturday, May 20, 2017. Much of the area is under a marginal risk of severe weather while the greater threat this afternoon and tonight will be west of a line from Celina, Carthage and Shelbyville.
