A convicted sex offender was arrested by Crossville police after allegedly being at an apartment in the Crossville Housing Authority directly across from LBJ&C Head Start. Officers placed 40-year-old Scott Charles King into custody for violation of the residential work restrictions statue of the sex offender act. King was transported to the Cumberland County jail and told not to return to the housing authority property. According to the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry database, King was convicted in 2001 for second degree rape.
