SHOOTING INCIDENT IN KINGSTON BLAMED ON “BAD DRUG DEAL”
A man has been charged in a shooting incident which took place in Kingston Friday. According to reports, 32-year-old Jason Lee Whitefield confessed to shooting a female subject at a King St. residence. Whitefield reportedly told officers that the incident involved a “drug deal gone bad.” The victim, Whitney Williams, allegedly drove herself to the Rocky Top Market on Morrison Hill to get aid for a gunshot wound she received in the leg. At the time of this report, Whitefield had not made bond.
