Deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, along with agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, were at a location off of Airport Road a few miles north of Interstate 40 yesterday (Friday, September 1, 2017) to work a crime scene. Susan Niland, information officer with the TBI, told 105.7 News yesterday that their department is assisting the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department at the scene. Initial reports indicated a possible body that was located but authorities confirmed no body was discovered. However, deputies would not disclose the nature of the investigation. More information will be released at a later time by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
