TDEC GRANTS 9 DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS SOLID WASTE GRANTS

Nine development districts across the state will receive grants of more than 450-thousand dollars to support local solid waste management activities. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation included the news that the Upper Cumberland Development District will get more than $40,000. The grant supports development districts in preparing valuable solid waste planning functions including compiling information about landfills, source reduction, composting and recycling.
