TENNESSEE SEES SLIGHT DECREASE IN JULY UNEMPLOYMENT
Most Tennessee Counties saw a slight decrease in seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for July. Tennessee’s overall rate increased from 4.1 percent in June to 4.3 in July. Cumberland County unemployment remained the same in July as in June at 5.9 percent. Roane County’s unemployment decreased slightly from 5.7 to 5.6 percent. 73 counties saw decreases while 11 saw an increase in unemployment. 11 counties remained the same. Williamson County was the lowest at 3.6 percent while Hancock posted the highest numbers at 8.7.
