TRAGIC CLEVELAND STAND-OFF ENDS WITH SUSPECT TAKING HIS OWN LIFE
A tragic standoff in Cleveland Tuesday ended with the armed suspect taking his own life. According to Bradley County Authorities, a man identified by family members as Larry Stewart, took his cat to the Appalachian Animal Clinic. Stewart had a son die six months ago and his wife passed away a year ago and so he was overheard saying that his cat was all he had left. Unfortunately the cat died. After Stewart removed the cat, authorities say that he later returned to the facility with a “long gun” and threatened to kill himself. All of the employees at the clinic were able to escape and, after some negotiations took place with SWAT Team members, a robot with camera was employed to enter the building. It was discovered that Stewart had shot himself. The investigation is continuing.
