There is an accident on Interstate 40 eastbound in Roane County involving an overturned tractor trailer at mile marker 347. Estimated to be cleared by 6 PM 9/28/2017 (Eastern Time Zone).. Eastbound traffic is affected with roadway closed. Traffic is moving very slow (10-15 mph at times) but for the most part is down. DETOUR – Heading east from Cumberland County, get off at the Westel Exit and proceed south to Highway 70. Turn left and go down the mountain until you dead end on Highway 27. Turn left and proceed into and through Rockwood then take 70 East near Evans Funeral Home and go down 70 East until you get back on I-40 in Midtown (there will be signs for the interstate)

There was another accident at the 355 mile marker westbound on Interstate 40 in Roane County but has since been cleared.
