TWRA IDENTIFIES MAN KILLED IN JET SKI ACCIDENT

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency identified the man who was killed in a nighttime jet ski accident in Rhea County. Officers say 24-year-old Travis Hale was traveling with a man and woman on another jet ski. They said he drove off and hit a private dock on Chickamauga Lake near Double S Road close to Dayton. An autopsy will be performed by the Rhea County Medical Examiner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation. TWRA reminds everyone that it is illegal to operate a jet ski after dark. Officers say jet skis are not equipped with proper lighting for night-time use.
