Following a historical upset over Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton, U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) issued the following statement Wednesday to congratulate President-elect Donald Trump. The senator said that the people voted for change and that Donald Trump is the agent for that change. He also said that it’s time to put the election behind us and move the country in the right direction. Even the famous “rock” on the UT campus was painted Tuesday night in support of President-Elect Trump.
