Officials are considering a merger of the Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) and the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA). That came from the UCHRA executive director search committee today. Members voted this morning to keep Mark Farley as the UCHRA interim director and put the search for a new director on hold. The two entities, which help the region’s neediest citizens, offer programs that overlap. A study will be presented soon to the search committee weighing the pros and cons of a merger.
