The weather continues to cause problems across East Tennessee as an unconfirmed tornado ripped across McMinn County overnight. Officials from Athens say that significant damage was reported in Deerfield Estates with many homes being destroyed. Injuries have also been reported. A Sav-A-Lot has been completely demolished and several trees and powerlines are down. At least 15 people were taken to the hospital. McMinn County, Etowah City and Athens school districts are closed for the day. Cleveland State Community College is running on a two hour delay. All locations will be open at 10 AM.
