VEHICLE STOLEN FROM HOME ON CRITTER CROSSING

A vehicle was reported stolen from a home on the 200 block of Critter Crossing in Cumberland County just before 9 Sunday morning. The resident identified a likely suspect, whom he said he had allowed to stay at his home the night before – and whom he believes may be attempting to leave the state.

The resident reported having gone to bed about 1 a.m. Sunday; he said he’d observed the vehicle in the driveway at that time.

The man said when he awoke, he found his pants on the kitchen table, with the keys missing from the pocket. Also taken from his pants pockets were a cell phone valued at $500 and approximately $25 in cash. He said that while he slept, the suspect must have entered his bedroom and taken the pants out to the kitchen.

The stolen car, a grey 2010 Ford Fusion valued at $18,000, belongs to the man’s 84-year-old mother, who is currently in a physical-rehabilitation facility.

The vehicle has a Tennessee license plate, number 2591DD9.

Cumberland County Dispatch has issued a BOLO for the vehicle and the suspect.
