VOLUNTARY RECALL ISSUED FOR HYPERTENSION MEDICATION
The FDA published a voluntary recall for hypertension medication Hydrochlorothiazide, made by Accord Healthcare.
The FDA says there could be a labeling mix-up, after finding a bottle filled with different medication inside.
The medication found in the bottle was designed to reduce a hormone that affects blood pressure.
Accord’s tablets are round, light peach-colored pills with an “h” on one side and the number “1” on the other.
Accord believes the medication was only switched in lot PW05264.
Medication in that lot is now under a voluntary recall.
