WANTED CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY RUNNING FROM OFFICERS

A wanted Crossville man was arrested after allegedly attempting to run from authorities. A tip sent Crossville police to an area off North Main Street just north of Interstate 40 where they found 35-year-old Michael Darrell Willis. Willis was wanted on probation violation. However, when officers approached Willis, he allegedly fled on foot and into a nearby river. Cumberland County deputies assisted Crossville police in the search for Willis who was later caught. Willis was charged with evading arrest and transported to the Cumberland County jail.
