WEDNESDAY MORNING FIRE IN LAKE TANSI DEMOLISHES DUPLEX
Cumberland County Firefighters answered a call at a Lake Tansi residence Wednesday morning. Assistant Chief John Hall told 1057 News that the alarm sounded at 8:16 AM for a fire at 4015 Springwater Drive. When crews arrived the double-wide mobile home, which had been turned into a duplex, was 95 percent involved. According to the report, the resident of one of the units said that the fire started when a candle sitting on a coffee table fell over and ignited a bandana. The structure and contents was a total loss. There were no injuries reported. Four units and seven firefighters answered the call.
