After a recent meeting with Fentress County officials, Representative John Mark Windle informed them that the impending Highway 127 expansion project is still a top priority. Representative Windle expects construction to commence from where Highway 127 meets Interstate 40 north to Legion Road in Cumberland County this calendar year. Then the widening in the Clear Creek Bridge area on the highway in southern Fentress County will possibly begin in 2018 or 2019.
