WOMAN KILLED AS 15 YEAR OLD FLEES POLICE
OLIVER SPRINGS – One woman is dead and a 15-year-old Harriman boy is facing charges for crashing a pickup truck while fleeing from police on Wednesday afternoon.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol report said Holland Durbrow, 20, of Powell died as a passenger in the boy’s car when it crashed on the 1000 block of Poplar Creek Road around 3:06 p.m. Wednesday.
The THP report said the boy lost control of the Dodge pickup truck, ran off the roadway, and struck a rock wall and cavern opening.
The impact from the crash killed Dubrow upon impact, according to THP.
The boy is charged with criminal negligent homicide, felony fleeing and evading, and reckless endangerment.
The boy also faces a number of citations, including failure to yield for emergency vehicle, failure to maintain lane, failure to exercise due care, a registration violation, no proof of insurance, driving without a license and a seat belt violation.
