Recently, a woman was charged in Roane County while trying to introduce drugs into a penal institution. Deputies say that 35-year-old Karen Crabtree was discovered to have a plastic glove hidden in her genital area while in the jail’s intake bathroom. Inside the glove was a lighter, a dime, a body piercing, and a bag containing three small plastic bags containing nearly 4 grams of methamphetamine. Crabtree faces manufacture, delivery, and sale of drugs charges.
