4.8 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA SEIZED ON WOODLAWN ROAD
Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies, along with Crossville Police and Tennessee Highway Patrol, responded to 992 Woodlawn Road Tuesday for an argument between a man and woman. While in the home, officers reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana. A consent search revealed several large vacuum-sealed bags and jars of marijuana, a stack of money, two cell phones and several firearms. Officers also seized several ledgers with information contained in them. Authorities arrested 59-year-old James Elmo Hill for manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs, possession of a firearm while committing a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon and theft of property. Also taken into custody was 36-year-old Leslie Diane Stump of Crossville for manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs and simple possession of drugs. The FBI notified the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office yesterday they will be looking into the case and evidence obtained.
