Cumberland County fire crews were called to the Kerry Plant, formerly Hickory Specialties, for a fire Thursday morning. The alarm went out at 4:38 AM for the report of an air compressor on fire located in a small shed which had been erected to keep the weather out. Fire Officials say that the first unit on the scene had the fire out. However, the structure was completely consumed. Five units responded to the blaze and no injuries were reported. The damage amount was unknown.
